Stonehenge is a combat stage featured in Killer Instinct 2/Killer Instinct Gold. It serves as Tusk's background in both games.

Description

Stonehenge is named for and designed after the world famous real-life prehistoric monument located in Wiltshire, England. It represents a series of massive stone megaliths that have been raised in a circular pattern around a burning pyre. The sky is a red-gold color, implying the sun is either setting or rising.

Knockoff (Stage Ultra)

The fighters can knock one another into the middle of the stage, falling into the deep hole in which they are incinerated.

The KI Gold version of this Knockoff is different, since the hole is instead grated/fenced and there is no pyre underneath. Although the Knockoff sequence is the same (i.e. uppercutting towards the center of the stage), the loser of the fight falls toward the grate, and they are presumably sliced into pieces off-screen.

Trivia

  • The original music theme of Stonehenge can be heard in the 2013 reboot as part of Tusk's idle theme. It will start playing in his new background stage of Icehaven when no controller input has been entered for a while.
  • In the 2017 "Dynamite" KI comics, Stonehenge is shown to be the site of a major battle between the cast of Killer Instinct and Gargos' minions during the events of Shadow Lords.
