The Arena of Judgment (or the Arena of Judgement) is Halo guest character Arbiter's stage in Killer Instinct (2013). It is the nineteenth stage that is introduced to the game and the second stage introduced in Season 3.

Description[]

The stage takes place in a great hall that was once part of a Sangheili forum, but has become a battleground between forces belonging to both the Swords of Sanghelios and the Covenant. Statues lie ruined, dead bodies litter the floor, and tools of war juxtapose the ancient architecture surrounding it.

At the beginning of the match, a firefight will be going on in the background between Elites belonging to both the Swords of Sanghelios and the Covenant. They are shown firing Type-51 Carbine and lobbing Plasma Grenades at one another, with some shots landing on the opposing forces. Eventually, forces on both sides will be exhausted and the hall will grow still (save for the fight in the foreground) until the second round.

At the start of the second round, a Type-52 Phantom will crash through the back wall of the forum, creating much rubble revealing a large-scale dogfight in the far distance. Sangheili fighters and warships can be seen firing at one another.

Ultra Combo[]

During an Ultra Combo, a Type-47 Scarab will crash through the other part of the back wall, creating further rubble. It will attempt to struggle out of its predicament, but then lose power and grow still.

Stage Ultra: Cratered[]

When a Stage Ultra is triggered, the same scenario as above takes place, except along with the Scarab there will be a Type-26 Banshee that flies in and crashes atop the fighter who had been defeated using the Stage Ultra. The camera will then pan back to the winner as they pose victoriously and the announcer will yell the Stage Ultra callout: "Cratered".

Music[]

Killer Instinct Season 3 - Creating The Music For "Arbiter"

Arbiter's KI theme, "The Champion of Sanghelios", is composed by Celldweller & Atlas Plug.

During 16-hit Combo, a voice can be heard like "STAY FIGHT!" and "RAISE UP!". The voice was done by Celldweller to which according to him, he doesn't know the Sangheili language and instead just made up a bunch of words.

When the characters hold still for a certain amount of time, the music will change to a remixed version of "Impend" from Halo 2.
